A divine infusion is promised to happen...if we obey Jesus and love our neighbor. We cannot imitate true joy with a positive mood or circumstance. It will fade quickly. True joy is conditional on our cooperation with the Lord's commands. Although we will fail in our obedience and sacrificial love for others, He sees the intent of our heart to please Him and will bless us with His joy. He also sees when we take His grace for granted and try to hide our heart which is not contrite. Draw closer and He will come closer.
